BloodSugarBasics.com was originally developed by Merck in collaboration with the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). It’s goal was to provide useful information about blood sugar for people living with type 2 diabetes, including helpful tips on how to manage blood sugar levels.

Today, the website has a new owner and a new mission. Now funded and maintained by MedicareWire, the new mission is to help people newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes reverse their condition and return to normal health.

While managing blood sugar levels helps reduce the health risk of serious complication from the disease, it’s a treatment, not a cure. Our goal going forward is to offer a comprehensive lifestyle optimization plan that helps type 2 diabetics completely reverse their disease.

For many type 2 diabetics, the disease is reversible. All you need is the proper education, desire and willpower to do it while continuing the treatment program created by your healthcare team.

Our goal is to educate people about the algorithm and how to work with their healthcare team to apply it to their personal situation.
